Tikkun Leil Hoshana Rabbah: All Israel Under One Sukkah
This Hoshana Rabbah, the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem invites you to gather under one sukkah for a special evening of Torah, prayer, music, and conversation.
Hoshana Rabbah is the seventh and final night of Sukkot, traditionally marked by learning, prayer, and the recitation of Psalms. It brings the spiritual journey of Tishrei toward its close, from Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur and Sukkot, before the celebration of Simchat Torah.
This year, the night carries a particular resonance. Three years after October 7, 2023, Israeli society continues to live with the consequences of that devastating day, alongside deep divisions, painful questions, and an uncertain reality. Hoshana Rabbah offers a moment to pause and consider what it means to share a home, a society, and a future.
The sukkah is open to all sides; it is a temporary home that invites us to step outside our usual walls and make room for one another. “All Israel Under One Sukkah” draws on that simple image as an expression of hope: that despite our differences, there can still be a place where we meet, listen, and recognize our shared humanity.
As Sukkot comes to an end and Simchat Torah begins, we move from one cycle to the next. It is a moment of renewal, inviting us to ask what we want to carry forward, what we want to leave behind, and what kind of shared future we hope to build.
Join us at the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem for a meaningful Hoshana Rabbah experience under one sukkah.
The event will be held in English.
